In Loving Memory of Anthony “Tony” Holliday It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tony, a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. Tony peacefully departed from this world on 11/3/2023, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and passion that will forever be cherished. Born on 7/8/1949 in Mobile, AL, Tony was the son of Melvin and Annie Holliday. From a young age, he exhibited a natural curiosity and a strong work ethic. This passion became a lifelong pursuit for Tony, who honed his craft and became a master blacksmith, renowned for his intricate designs and attention to detail. In addition to his blacksmithing talents, Tony had a deep connection with nature. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and hunting. Whether it was casting his line from his boat or patiently waiting for the perfect shot, Tony found peace in these activities. His love for nature was infectious, and he often shared his knowledge and skills with his grandchildren, passing down the traditions and values he held dear. But above all, Tony's greatest joy in life was his family. After the loss of his beloved wife Elaine Holliday, Tony found love again and remarried Diane Holliday. Together, they created laughter, and cherished memories. Diane provided loving support and companionship during his illness. Tony was a doting grandfather, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He delighted in their presence, spending countless hours teaching them the art of blacksmithing and taking them on fishing trips and rides in the side-by-side. His patience, wisdom, and unconditional love will forever be etched in their hearts. Tony will be deeply missed by his loving wife Diane, his children Heather Sharer (Michael), Tony Holliday (Leslie), and Megan Rogers (Shane), his adoring grandchildren Madeline Sharer (16), Emma Grace Sharer (11), Mason Holliday (8), Emery Holliday (6), Maeve Holliday (3), Grayson Rogers (8), and Effie Rogers (3), and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the beautiful creations he crafted, the fish he caught, and the memories he shared with his loved ones. A celebration of Tony's life will be held on 11/11/2023. With visitation from 10-11 and the service 11-12. All services will be held at Christ Redeemer Church at Westminster, 2921 Airport Blvd., Mobile, AL. As we bid farewell to our dear Tony, let us remember him for his unwavering love, his passion for blacksmithing, fishing, and hunting, and the joy he brought to the lives of his grandchildren. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all.
