Mr. James Allen Merifield

James was born on October 18, 1966 and passed on December 1, 2023. He was born in Mobile, Alabama, where he lived his whole life. James was preceded in death by his Grandmother Cammiola Thompson Adams, Grandmother Azilee Merifield Darawich, Grandfather Harry John Merifield Sr, Step-grandparents Velma Soutullo and Raymond John "Dit" Soutullo. Step-Grandfather Porter A. Adams, Uncle Wilfred H. (Sonny) Merifield, Uncle Tony Soutullo, his stepfather Charles Soutullo, Stepbrother Charles Vincient Soutullo, Stepsister Theresa Rene Soutullo, as well as his beloved dog DEE DEE. James is survived by Mother Linda Greene Soutullo, Father Ernest Leslie Merifield & stepmother Monica Merifield. Brother Darron (Kelly) Merifield & Sister Sondra (Tony) Ritchie. Step-siblings: Mitchell (Bethany) Sotullo, Sherry Lynn Soutullo, Chandra Soutullo from GA. Aunts and Uncles: Mark & Pam Soutullo, Paul & Joann Soutullo, Gary & Janet Soutullo, and Raymond & Mike, Regina Soutullo, and Teddy Soutullo. His special aunt Mary Merifield Huber and husband Keith Huber. Niece Celini Alday (Josh) Chadwick of Hernando, Mississippi, and nephew Jason Booker of Manor, Texas. He leaves behind many cousins, aunts, & uncles, as well as special friend Jill Patton. Special Cousins Lisa Kirkland, Christina, Ashley, Leroy, and Jenna Leann, mother Leann Hart. James attended Little Flower elementary school & graduated from McGill Toolen. After graduation he spent 3 years at Tulane University School of Medicine /Pre-Med. He later graduated from Southeast Technical College. He was accepted to many colleges Springhill, GA Tech, John Hopkins School of Medicine. Through his lifetime he had a number of friends that he loved ...he even served as a tutor for some of them. He always had a generous heart & giving spirit for anyone. He was always willing to help with whatever & whenever he could. That was also evident in his love & caring for his Grandmother Cammiola Thompson Adams. James was a lover of Jesus Christ, as well as an animal lover. James had many trials, tribulations, & battles...but he still loved! AND “ The Greatest of These is Love” The family would like to extend a special thanks to Margaret Bradley, Joyce Collins Weaver, and Opal Beasley of Montgomery.
