Mr. Lewis Ashton Brock III

Lewis Ashton Brock, III Born in Mobile, Alabama on January 21, 1967, Lewis passed away peacefully at his home on February 20, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife, Shaye, and their boys, Ashton, Jacob, and Caleb. He was the much-loved son of Ashton and Toni Brock. At an early age, Lewis taught himself to play the piano and later in life the guitar. This became quite the obsession for him, and he practiced daily to improve his skills. He regularly entertained family and friends with his talent. He encouraged others to join him and had a great impact on bringing out the talents in other family members. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as a Leprechaun member of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, where he used his musical talents to entertain residents at various nursing homes, particularly the Convent of Mercy. Lewis also participated as an active member in Mardi Gras organizations including the Mystics and the SOB society. Lewis worked with Colonial Life Insurance for 30 years. He was well known by co-workers and clients alike for his charming and carefree demeanor as well as professional attention to service and detail. He qualified for the 2022 and 2024 Leaders Conference. He achieved multiple Sales Plan Goals and was a member of the Million Dollar Club 2022, 2023, and 2024. He began playing football while in elementary school at St. Mary’s Catholic in Mobile. He continued playing on the defensive line throughout his time in high school at McGill-Toolen Catholic, where he graduated, class of 1984. Lewis was always very generous with his time and talents and resources and would never hesitate if requested to help in any way he could. While facing the great challenges of life, Lewis took a brave and positive approach, he never complained. When asked how things were going, he would reply, “Every day is a good day!” Lewis is survived by his wife, Shaye (Diana) Feely Brock, sons, Lewis Ashton Brock IV (Rebecca; granddaughter, Rhiannon.), Jacob Michael Brock and Caleb Nathaniel Brock. Parents Lewis Ashton Brock II and Toni Reily Margaret Brock. Siblings, Edward Brock (Michiko), Dianne Watson, Clo Zarro (Thomas), and Crandell Brock (Heather), along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Lewis worked with Colonial Life Insurance for 30 years. A Catholic Funeral Mass in loving memory of Lewis Ashton Brock III will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6300 McKenna Drive, Mobile, AL 36608 on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Banquet Hall.
