Ms. Lilly Reevelon Rogers

Lilly Reevelon Goodin Rogers, a resident of Coden, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Reevelon was born October 4, 1947 to Davis Love and Ruby Seals Goodin. Revvelon is preceded in death by her parents and her sons. Terry Alan Rogers and James “Jimmy” Grady Scott. She is survived by her devoted and loving partner of 35 years, Flo Thompson. Her beloved daughters and son in laws, Sherry and Steve Steele, Karen and Michael Richardson, Le’Ann Adkisson and Ashley Nelson, her much loved grandchildren, Amber Dillon (Larry), Alana Rogers (Alex), Ruby Rogers, TJ Edwards (Shay), Courtney Edwards (Heather), Benjamin Richardson, Caleb Richardson (India), Lilly Richardson (Logan), Anna Osterman, Samantha Crews (Ryan). Her great grandchildren, Avah, Marshall, Julian, Ethan, Jace, Liliann, Layne and Booney, She is also survived by her sister Robin Rivera (Russell), Her nieces and nephews and many more family members and friends. She loved her family with all her heart. Their visits and time together brought her so much joy. She loved Christmas, she enjoyed decorating her home and spending the holiday with her family. She also loved attending the Osiris Mardi Gras Ball. She loved camping, especially her yearly trip to Chickasabogue Park with her dear friend Pam and Jesse. She enjoyed traveling and even more when it was to visit her granddaughters and their families who lived out of state. Reevelon retired from MARC in Mobile. She worked tirelessly to bring sports and other activities to those who are mentally and physically challenged. She was involved with many aspects of Special Olympics including track and field, sailing and bowling. She attended many tournaments, races and competitions. She was wonderful at organizing banquets, dances and dinners. Reevelon did not cut corners when it came to making every event special for those she loved. During her years at MARC she made many friends, a lot of those became family. Reevelon never met a stranger. She would strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Her selfless and giving nature will always be remembered by all those who loved her. Our thanks to Alabama Hospice Care and Krystal Murphy, RN, for the wonderful care given during her illness. A Celebration of life will be held March 16, 2024 at Venue of Bella Rosa 11470 Bellingrath Road, Theodore, Alabama 36582 from 4-6pm.
