Mrs. Marena Delaine Mosley

Marena Delaine Mosley, a cherished mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. Marena was born on November 23, 1972, in Mobile, Alabama and passed away on February 27, 2026. Marena was the only child of Brenda Blakely and Robert Grimes. She was predeceased by her two young sons, Matthew and Brandon Willis, as well as her adored grandparents, Paul(Jack) and Joyce Tomlin. She leaves behind her devoted mother, Brenda (Larry) Blakeney; her loving daughter, Alyssa (Hunter) Willis; and her treasured grandson, Kolesten Mayhew. Marena's journey through life was marked by her unwavering strength and resilience. She worked tirelessly as a waitress for many years, providing for her family with grace and determination. In 2009, Marena's life took a transformative turn when she went to the Home of Grace for Women, first as a participant in their program, and later as a cherished house mother. Her experiences there ignited a passion for caregiving, leading her to dedicate her life to caring for elderly and hospice patients, offering them comfort and compassion in their final days. Marena had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen and heard. Her warmth was unexplainable, a beacon of hope and solace for those facing difficult times. Her empathy, born from her own challenges, was boundless, and she approached each person she met with kindness and grace. Marena's love for cooking and interior decorating brought joy to those around her, and she delighted in dressing up, adding a touch of elegance to every occasion. Visitation will be held on March 9, 2026, from 11:00am-1pm at Cottage Hill Funeral Home with chapel services at 1pm, then, funeral service will take place immediately after at Serenity Memorial Gardens with repast to follow at Bellingrath Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her life and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who knew her. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated or prayed for them during this time. They are especially thankful for the support and love shown by organizations such as Next Steps Ministries, Ryan's Refuge, Theodore Church of God, "Showered" by the Holy Spirit and First Baptist Tillmans Corner, who stood by Marena during her times of need. As we bid farewell to Marena, let us remember her for the love she shared, the compassion she embodied, and the lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire us all.
