Mrs. Peggy Joyce Chase

December 27, 1932 – June 1, 2025 With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Peggy Joyce Graham Chase, 92, a native of San Angelo, Texas and long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama. She passed away at home surrounded by family after losing her battle with LBD on June 1, 2025. Peggy was born on December 27,1932 to Opal Pearl Powell and William Cody Graham in San Angelo Texas. She was one of seven sisters and one brother. Peggy was preceded in death by the love of her life, David Chase her husband of 55 years, both parents, all siblings except one as well as Donnie Hinton and Robert Reints both sons-in-law. She is survived by her children William “Bill” Chase (Kathy), Linda Hinton and Elizabeth Reints as well as her devoted grandchildren and their spouses as well as several great grandchildren who she adored. Those included: Joshua Chase, Cody Chase, Travis Hinton (Mae), Eric Hinton (Tory), Chad Hinton (Ashleigh), Meghan Reints, Kyle Reints (Sierra) and Kristen Reints Hales (William). She is also survived by her only remaining sibling, Jody Graham Jett. Included as survivors are numerous nieces and nephews who often lovingly checked on her through calls and visits. Having lived a long life, she witnessed many friends pass before her but her group of friends, many of whom are life-time friends, survived her as well. A military wife, her husband was Retired USAF, she became accustomed to moving often but worked to make each move smooth for the family. She worked as an accountant throughout her life and enjoyed meeting people. Peggy was a master seamstress and an avid sports fan, cheering especially for he University of Alabama. When she moved to Mobile Mardi Gras became her favorite time of the year and she enjoyed as many parades as possible. The beach, where she owned a home for many years, was her sanctuary. She spent as much time as possible there entertaining family and friends. Our hearts will never be the same, but we know we will see her and our dad again. So today we added the dash to her very long and wonderful life. Go rest mom. It is well deserved. We love you and will miss you much. Until we meet again we share all our love!
