Mr. Ronald Lee Brumfield

Ronald Lee Brumfield, known to his loved ones as Ron, passed away peacefully in his home on December 13, 2023 surrounded by loving family, at the age of 86. Ron was born on October 13, 1937 in Crown, WV to Zelma Maxey Brumfield and Lonnie Wetzel Brumfield. Ron excelled at everything he did. He was a Master certified mechanic, a Service Manager and retired as a Catastrophe Adjuster. Ron's dedication and expertise in his work earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. Outside of work, Ron had a passion for music. He was a talented musician, playing the guitar and piano. His beautiful voice touched the hearts of many. Ron's ministry for the Lord was sharing his love of music. Ron's love for music was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was a dedicated son, father and husband. Ron's faith of 48 years played a central role in his life. He worshipped at Woodridge Baptist Church. His devotion to the Lord was unwavering and was an example to many. Ron is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 53 years Sylvia Chavis Brumfield, his children: Lonnie Brumfield (Chrissy) of Hamlet, NC, Robbie Brumfield (Jackie) of Hendersonville, NC, Bruce Brumfield (Mylene) of Pittsburg, Tx, Scott Brumfield (Nancy) of Pittsburg, Tx, Angel Brumfield Bray (Denis) of Mobile, Al. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Wright (Jimmy) of Hamlet, NC, Pauline McDougal of Schwartz Creek, Mi. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is mourned by a host of friends from all over the country. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Zelma Maxey Brumfield and Lonnie Wetzel Brumfield, Daughter Pamela Brumfield Hollowell, Sister, Helen Rabb, Brothers Roy Brumfield and Roger Brumfield. A Ceremony to honor and celebrate Ron's life will be held at Woodridge Baptist Church of Mobile on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:00 am. The visitation will be held at Cottage Hill Memorial on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Ronald Lee Brumfield will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart, unwavering faith, and gifted music will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
