Mr. Chase William Crockett

Chase William Crockett, 25 died of natural causes on August 5, 2020 at his home in Mobile, Alabama. He was born May 23, 1995 in Richmond, VA, Chase graduated from Baker High School in Mobile. Alabama Class of 2014. Chase was an amazing artist an inspiration to many, and just an all around loving person in any situation. He dreamed of making music that would bring the world closer together. In the time that I spent with Chase I learned one thing, his goal in life was to just "Do the right thing" as should be many of our goals. He took many friends under his wing and taught them positivity and to be loving as well. Any conversations with Chase was a heart to heart no matter who you were. He is one of a kind and was loved by his friends, family, and community and will be forever missed. He is survived by his maternal grandparents Herman and Linda Minga, father figure and Uncle Herman Minga along with his spouse Christina her three daughters and son Tyler Minga. Also survived by his aunts Crystal Annette Keithly (Mike) and son Robbie, Ester Ryan, Uncles Joey Minga and Katherine, Thomas Crockett, Chuck Minga Amanda and Charlotte, Ray Waldon and wife Tricia. Extended family Mike and Brandi Taylor. Special Friends Dion Pettway, Moses Carter III, Keyshaun Johnson, Zach Lee, Bryan Edwards, Sean Williams, Alexia Pettway, Justin Clark, Jeron Palmore, Ladarius Young, Lavon Williams, Bryce Woods, and Lottie James. He was preceded in death by his mother Deborah L. Batten, his father Luther L. Crockett (Cricket), maternal grandfather Willie Batten, paternal grandparents Luther and Frances Crockett, and special family friend William "Bootsy" Cooper. Services are to held at Cottage Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 7158 Cottage Hill Rd., Mobile, AL 36695 on Wednesday August 12, 2020 from 5 until 7PM.
