Mrs. Lois Ann McIntyre

Lois Ann McIntyre, age 83, born July 23, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, a graduate of Vigor High School in 1958 and a long-time resident of Saraland, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 18, 2023. Lois suffered from Parkinson’s Disease for 10 years. She is now walking and running with no pain or sorrow. She is now safely in the arms of her Creator, God Almighty, The Great I AM and worshipping Jesus with those loved ones who have gone before her who also trusted in Jesus Christ. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Velma Andrews and she is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Douglas McIntyre and her children: Darrell (Alicie) McIntyre, Kevin (Jennifer) McIntyre , Ashley (Dave) Shirley, Angie (Jamie) George as well as her sister Lana (Terry) Sirois and brother Walter (Kathy) Andrews. Grandchildren: Triston McIntyre, Keith Farnell, Jordan (Maddy) George, Tyler (Jacquelyn) George, Ashton George, Addie George, Julia McIntyre, Juliana McIntyre and other nieces and nephews. Lois was a loving wife and mother; she always put the needs of others ahead of her own needs. She was selfless and always compassionate to others. She loved Jesus, spending time with friends and family, cooking and keeping her house in order. She also took great pride in taking care of her husband and all of her children and grandchildren. She imitated Christ daily by giving of herself to others. In all of her struggles she never complained about her condition and her faith in Jesus never wavered. Visitation and a Celebration of life will be held at Cottage Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 7158 Cottage Hill Road, Mobile, Al 36695 on Saturday June 24, 2023 beginning at 11:00am – 12:00p.m.Chapel Service will be from 12:30pm to 1:00pm (Eulogy by Jamie George). A graveside service will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 8951 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL . Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Lois’ life after the funeral at 724 Mae Street, Saraland, Al. 36571 Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who helped care for her.
