Patricia May Gurley

Patricia May Gurley, affectionately known as "Pat" by those who loved her, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 81. Patricia was born on August 28,1944, in Mobile, Alabama, where she spent her life surrounded by family, friend and the community she cherished. She was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering love and a generous heart. Her greatest joy came from family, and she devoted her life to loving, supporting and caring for each generation. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and unconditional love that will continue to live on through those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ebb and Irene Gilley; her brothers Sonny Gilley and Larry Gilley of Eight Mile, Alabama; her sister Wanda Dees of Mobile, Alabama; her son Harold Gurley, Jr of Mobile, Alabama; her grandson Tyler Autrey; her granddaughter Kelly Lundy of Mobile, Alabama; her great-great granddaughter Adalyn; and her significant other James Autrey. Patricia is lovingly survived by her sister Shirley Ellison of Citronelle, Alabama and daughter Marilyn Lundy. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Misty Tubbs, Greg Lundy, Jr and Michael Gurley. Her love extended to her treasured great-grandchildren; Grace, Fayth, Hope, Ronald III, Joy, Kaylee, Cade, Kendall, Kently and Kenzly. She was also blessed with great-great grandchildren Jade, Deloris, Emalaina and Mary, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. TO know Patricia was to know genuine love. She welcomed everyone with open arms, offered wisdom without judgment and always made her family feel safe, valued and deeply loved. Her warmth, laughter, strength and caring spirit touched countless lives and the memories she created will forever be treasured. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that her love will remain with us always. Her legacy is not measured by the years she lived but by the countless lives she touched and the love she freely gave. She will be deeply missed, loving remembered and forever carried in our hearts. Funeral services celebrating Patricia's life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Cottage Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 7158 Cottage Hill Rd. Mobile, AL. 36695. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose love and legacy will never be forgotten.
